URGENT: PHARMACY TECHNICIAN/GRADUATE INTERN APPLICANT FALSELY CLAIMING GRADUATION FROM THE UNC SCHOOL OF PHARMACY

The Board of Pharmacy has learned that a Chrisenda Young, who also goes by the names Chrisenda Hinojosa and Chrisenda Adkins, has represented to employers that she is a graduate of the UNC School of Pharmacy, claiming a graduation date of December 2007. A Board inquiry determined that no student by the name Chrisenda Young, Chrisenda Hinojosa, or Chrisenda Adkins is, or ever has been, a student at the UNC School of Pharmacy.

Ms. Young was previously registered with the Board as a pharmacy technician, but is no longer registered. Board staff is concerned that Ms. Young’s false claims of graduation from the UNC School of Pharmacy could result in her being hired as a pharmacy graduate intern – a position for which she would not be qualified – or her being given less training or strict oversight as a pharmacy technician. Either circumstance would pose a threat to the public health and safety.

(See a photo of Ms. Young here.)

If you have any information concerning Ms. Young, please contact the Board’s investigations office immediately at 919-246-1050 or complaints@ncbop.org.
